Why do wisdom teeth cause problems?

For many people, the arrival of their wisdom teeth between the ages of 17 - 23 causes problems. For some it can happen later in life as well. Problems emerge because the wisdom teeth can attempt to come through at the wrong angle (impaction) and get stuck. They can also end up half-in-half-out which presdisposes the tissues around them to inflammation and infection (pericoronitis). If you are having problems with your wisdom teeth book a consultation and have it checked out.
